About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the website laypen.app (“the site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Use of the Laypen app is governed by the End-user licence agreement, not by these terms. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy.
Who we are

Using the site
You may use the site for lawful purposes only. You may view the pages and download or print them for your own information.
You may not: (a) interfere with the operation or security of the site, or place an unreasonable load on it; (b) try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or related systems; (c) introduce malicious code; (d) use automated means to copy substantial parts of the site, other than ordinary indexing by search engines; (e) republish the site or substantial parts of it; or (f) present yourself as us or suggest that we endorse you when we do not.

Requesting the app
The site describes Laypen and explains how to request it. The download link is sent by email on request. Downloading, installing and using the app are subject to the End-user licence agreement.
Intellectual property and trademarks
The site and its content, including texts, images, screenshots, design and code, and the Laypen name and logo, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Third-party components used on the site, such as fonts, are listed on the Licences page and remain subject to their own licences.
You may link to the site and refer to Laypen by name, provided you do so accurately and without suggesting a connection with us or an endorsement by us that does not exist. For any other use of our name, logo or content, please ask us first at support@laypen.app.
Apple, Mac, macOS and Touch ID are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC. Other names mentioned on the site belong to their owners. Mentioning them does not imply any endorsement.
Information on the site
We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but it is provided for general information only and may contain errors or omissions. Laypen is in beta: features, system requirements and plans described on the site may change, and a description of a planned feature is not a promise to deliver it.
The site is offered free of charge. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, and we may change, suspend or close it, or any part of it, at any time.
Links
The site may link to websites that we do not operate. We provide these links for convenience, have no control over those websites, and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Their own terms apply when you visit them.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability: (a) for damage caused by intent or gross negligence (Article 115 of the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098); (b) for death or personal injury; (c) for fraud; or (d) in any other case in which liability cannot be excluded or limited by law, including the mandatory rights of consumers.
Subject to the previous paragraph, the site is provided “as is”, and, because it is free of charge, we are not liable for damage caused by slight negligence, for lost profit, revenue, business or data, for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by websites we link to or by the site being unavailable.
Where the law of the country where you live does not allow liability for slight negligence to be excluded completely, our liability in those cases is limited to typical and foreseeable damage.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. The updated terms apply to your use of the site from that date; they do not apply retroactively.
General
If a provision of these terms is invalid or cannot be enforced, the rest remains in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by the rule the law provides in its place. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it.
These terms are written in English and are translated into other languages for your convenience. If the versions differ, the English version prevails, except where the mandatory law of the country where you live requires the local-language version to prevail or to be interpreted in your favour; in that case that version applies to that extent.
Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Subject to the next paragraph, the courts and enforcement offices of Ankara, Türkiye have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the site. If you are a merchant or a legal entity governed by public law, this jurisdiction is exclusive.
If you are a consumer, the two paragraphs above do not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings before the courts and consumer dispute bodies of that country. We will bring proceedings against you only in the country where you live.
